It has been on my list for a time now to write about my experience at Henry's Tea Room. Several of my friends and I went for a, before Christmas tea. Our expectations were high and I can boldly say they exceded those expectations. The service was outstanding and professional. The tea was served just right. And the home-made rolls were supurb. Thank you so very very much. Looking forward to seeing you all soon. |

Food is quite good here (except for the 'homemade' canned crescent roll) BUT this is not a real tea room. They serve afternoon tea occasionally-one day every few months (and if you call and ask if they serve tea-they say yes-but they only mean the beverage not the whole culinary experience). Only three choices of tea (as in green, herbal, and a flavored black tea)and they pour the tea into glass teacups and saucers-so the tea cools quickly (ugh!). Was difficult to get refills-had to ask continually.
They seem to have problems with avalibility-told us only one serving of their quiche left-so we ordered accordingly-then the table after us-they magically had more servings! Bit disconcerting. Also, they do not tell you up front the cost of the meal-it is a 'verbal' menu-no printed menu and costs.
Go for the food not the tea. Tea lovers go elsewhere. |

Thank you for writing your review although it hurts when people are not happy and do not give us a chance to correct any problems or miscommunications. However, I hope to clarify them now.
Webster says a tea room is where a light lunch is served primarily to ladies. We are very fortunate that we have several men a week as well. We don't claim to be like any other business but rather we choose to be different. We are careful to call our high tea events "Henry's High Tea". When someone calls asking if we serve tea, the first thought is regarding a beverage and not about a method of service or event. We do offer our "Henry's High Tea" events about 4 times a year and they are events! Because it's very labor intensive to make the small sandwiches and desserts it is physically impossible for us to offer high tea options during regular lunch hours. In regards to tea the beverage, we offer one hot tea flavor "on tap" and two iced teas every lunch. A tea chest is also available with personal teapots.
Our rolls are made here in our kitchen from quality ingredients including butter and yeast. They are a popular carryout item and sold by the dozens. We are glad they look so perfect that you assumed they came from a can! Our quiches are also made from scratch and with unpredictable entrée needs we may have one in the oven baking while the last fully baked serving is used. As always, we try to offer only high quality foods and quantities may be limited. I've been to Europe several times and in the European countryside menus are usually verbal and vary according to availability.
As an entrepreneur, I welcome your comments and strive to make my business the best. We sincerely hope you will return, introduce yourself, and let us serve you. Charla Henry

Atmosphere, service and delicious food.
I often sit quietly in a corner and enjoy a meal by myself. I love to watch the people who come into the Tearoom and those who serve. It is clear the servers desire to offer a pleasant atmosphere with the attention they pay to the customers and the food preparation.
I have never had a meal I did not like. The food is always tasty and displayed in an appealing manner.
I encourage everyone to stop by.

Today four of us 'gals' were greeted and served by Taylor. What a great experience we had. The food was outstanding; Taylor's professional food service attitude was wonderful. The only comment we might have is that it may have been nice to have been given a choice of teas, although what we were served was very good. That may be something you might want to consider doing with your customers. Thanks for a great luncheon. |

Henry's Antiques, Collectibles & Tearoom in quaint downtown Lee's Summit, Missouri, has easily become my husband's and my favorite lunchtime destination. No matter what selection we order, the food is always delicious and beautifully presented. The friendly, gracious service truly complements the welcoming and relaxing setting. After we have eaten, we leisurely peruse the bountiful and artfully decorated rooms tucked here and there as well as the the main showroom upstairs. What a treasure Henry's Antiques, Collectibles & Tearoom is! We absolutely love it! |

We visited Henry's with great anticipation of tasty morsels, refreshing teas and a virtual treasure hunt in this old church full of antiques. We were not to be disappointed. The passion fruit iced tea was very good and they kept my glass full. Loved the not-too-sweet, crispy lemon square served as a starter/palate cleanser. I particularly enjoyed the cinnamon-raisin bread panini, and the quiche was light, fluffy and full of flavor. The green salad and cold pasta salad sides rounded the meal off perfectly. They have a nice variety of desserts including fruity selections and decadent chocolate cake. The service was prompt, cheerful and polite. The chairs were comfortable, and the ambience charming and relaxing. And you can't beat the all-inclusive price. One of the best birthday lunches I've had and definitely at the top of my list of favorite tearooms. We had fun exploring each room and did find treasures to take home! We can't wait to go back. |

The teas, food, service and artistry are second only to a tea room in Savannah, GA. Most importantly, this tea room accommodates for special diets, such as gluten-free. Thank you for a delightful experience! |
